On November 10, 2024, in Naqu Town, Seni District, Naqu City, Xizang, with an altitude of more than 4600 meters, the world's highest altitude and largest installed capacity independent grid type energy storage project - Dagapu 100MW/400MWh independent grid type energy storage power station in Xizang Kaitou Seni District was successfully connected to the grid for power transmission.
The power station is located in Dagapu Village, Nagqu Town, with an altitude between 4635 meters and 4648 meters. The total investment is 452 million yuan and the total installed capacity is 100MW/400MWh. It is expected that the annual average power transmission will be about 180 million kWh, and the project is expected to deliver 4.672 billion kWh of clean energy to the power grid within its 20-year lifecycle, which is equivalent to saving 1.8688 million tons of standard coal and reducing 468600 tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
Xizang launched the Dagap 100MW/400MWh independent network energy storage project in Seni District, which will be the key supply guarantee project of Xizang Autonomous Region in 2024.SMS as a system integration solution provider, provides an independent networked energy storage system solution for this project. After grid connection and power generation, the project plays an important role in regulating the power gap in winter, spring and night in Naqu City, Xizang, and supporting the safe and stable operation of Xizang power grid. At the same time, it has injected new impetus into the development of green energy in Xizang and promoted the diversified development of the local economy. With the continuous progress and application of energy storage technology, Xizang's energy structure will be cleaner and more efficient, which has taken a critical step towards achieving the goal of carbon neutrality.
